Jbee 183rd

Official Support Counselor

Jimmy Badillo aka Jbee was born in the Bronx on 10/20/1964. He was known as a Bboy / MC and Stick up kid. Jimmy start dancing bomba, plena, and playing congas in a Spanish folkloric group called Groupo Cemi when he was 12 years old. Jimmy grew up in the same neighborhood as Grand Master Caz and the Cold Crush Brothers and witnessed first hand the birth of Hip Hop and all its major players when they would perform in the parks of the neighborhood. Jbee use to MC on WBAI Radio when they played live at the Nuyorican Poets Café on the Lower East Side. Jbee joined TBB in 1977 when Hip Hop was going into its transitions and things were really rough for any artist. Many turned to crime and drugs as an outlet. It wasn't an excuse, but a way of life for many at the time.

Jbee's life decisions led to many years in the state penitentiary as he was sentenced to 15 to 30 years on his second term of incarceration. It was then that he decided he had to make a change or as Jbee puts it "I was going to die in Prison."   Jimmy started going to Church just to get out his cell, but as Jimmy states "God had other plans for him so I dedicated my life to Him."  He ended up serving only 3 ½ years in prison his second time around. Due to the laws being modified at the time, he became eligible for early release. In 2005 Jimmy received his GED and went on to become a Licensed Counselor. Jimmy decided to get deeper into his Spirituality so he went on to complete a 3 years course at The Bible Institute and graduated. He then attended City Seminery in Harlem for Urban Ministry and graduated. Jimmy states: "I'm grateful to reconnect with my long time brothers and sister of TBB and even more grateful that I can give back as The Support Counselor for the TBB / TBG Global Family. Although I'm known to my old school friends as jbee183rd. Today I'm ok with being just Jimmy, Gods Child."

Joanna TBG

Chief Administration Officer

Joanna is the younger sister of TBB founder Batch and TBB Global President Aby TBB 183rd. At an early age she worked for Davidson Community Center, Inc., a non-profit community based organization with a history of cooperative programming serving children, families and seniors throughout the Northwest Bronx. Her duties were educating youth about safe sex and HIV/AIDS awareness. She then worked for Bronx AIDS Services doing outreach to the substance abuse community on harm reduction practices and HIV awareness. Joanna then worked at the New York Academy of Medicine doing outreach and phlebotomy. Eventually she became a research assistant and continued to work with the community involving substance abuse, geriatrics, pharmaceuticals, and other areas.

Joanna decided to become involved with TBB/TBG when the crew threw their first reunion.  Having fell in love with Hip Hop listening to Red Alert on Kiss FM, she felt becoming involved with TBB would bridge her love of the culture with her love of community activism.  She was moved when she saw the amount of people inspired by TBB/TBG so she did what she has always done, get involved.  Joanna's diverse background of community service and her love of Hip Hop culture is a tremendous asset to the crew.
